A young man who opens a sword dojo in the village of Dachia. He is caring and relied upon by everyone in the village. He protects the villagers from the threat of the monsters that live on the village outskirts. As Kanata’s master in swordsmanship, he addresses Cress as “Master Cress.”
■ System: Battle
Turn-Based Battles
This is the basic battle screen. Tales of Crestoria uses a turn-based battle system.
During battle, select actions from the Command Area in the lower-right of the screen. Up to four party members can participate in battle, and after all party members have taken action, it will be the enemy’s turn.
Artes
In addition to standard attachs, each character has powerful Artes and Arcane Artes. However, using an Arte will activate a “Recast Turn.” For example, Cress’ Demon Fang cannot be used for two turns after one use.
Attributes
Characters and enemies have attributes. By attacking with the better attribute, more damage will be dealt. Attribute-based advantages and disadvantages can be seen on the enemy icon at the top of the screen.
HIT Number
The amount of damage dealt to the enemy will increase in correspondence to the HIT number. Skillfully cooperate with your party members to extend the HIT number.
Over Limit
The lower-left of the screen shows the Over Limit gauge. The Over Limit gauge will increase as you perform attacks.
In addition to standard attacks and Artes, you can build up the Over Limit gauge even further through methods such as the following:
Hitting the enemy’s weak point
Delivering the enemy a finishing blow
Achieving a critical hit
By building up the Over Limit gauge, the character will be able to activate his or her unique Mystic Arte. Even if the character has already taken action, Mystic Artes can hit at any time, and the HIT number can be extended even more than when using only standard attacks and Artes.
Skillfully build up the Over Limit Gauge and use Mystic Artes to extend the HIT number and deal major damage.
