Yakuza 3 for PlayStation 4 opens at 26,047 retail sales.

Media Create Sales: 8/6/18 – 8/12/18

The PlayStation 4 re-release of Yakuza 3 sold 26,047 retail copies during its opening week in Japan, the latest Media Create sales figures reveal.

Also new this week, Fire Pro Wrestling World for PlayStation 4 launched at 20,218 retail sales, Bullet Girls Phantasia at 14,396 sales on PlayStation 4 and 6,441 sales on PS Vita, the Switch version of Okami HD at 14,089 sales, and Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy DX at 9,704 sales. Jake Hunter Detective Story: Prism of Eyes was also released for PlayStation 4 and Switch, but failed to chart in the top 20 sales.

For comparison purposes, the 3DS version of Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaire’s Conspiracy launched in July 2017 at 70,867 retail sales, and the PlayStation 4 version of Okami HD launched in December 2017 at 16,536 sales.

On the hardware side, Switch sold 50,143 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 22,026 units, and the 3DS family sold 10,910 units.
