Sega has released a new set of details and screenshots of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X, introducing Live Quest Mode’s Home base and quests, medleys, and the latest songs first introduced in the latest Weekly Famitsu.
Get the details below.
■ Live Quest Mode – What We Already Know
The new Live Quest Mode is broken down into areas separated by five elements: “Neutral,” “Cute,” “Cool,” “Beauty,” and “Chaos.” As Hatsune Miku, players will journey across these areas clearing quests by playing the rhythm game.
■ “Home” Base
At the “Home” base, you’ll be able to enjoy conversation with Hatsune Miku and her friends. Here, you’ll be able to get an understanding of the current situation and goals. You’ll also be able to view conversations between characters.
■ Quests
You will begin your Live Quest Mode quests in the Neutral area. For every area, there is a “Gem” that’s been emptied. By gathering Voltage and filling up the Gem, new areas will be unlocked.
Before taking on a quest (a rhythm game), you’ll be able to view an outline of its clear conditions, as well as what element provides a Voltage boost. As previously detailed, the initial Voltage rate value of a quest will change based on the combination of modules and accessories you use tied to the requested element.
Once a quest is cleared, you will get new items for your room, as well as new module drops.
And the emptied Gem will gradually be filled…
Once you clear every song in an area, a medley song will appear. Medley music is the climax of an area.
The first Medley, an arrangement of Oster Project songs, is “Hajimari no Medley: Primary Colors,” featuring “Koisuru Voc@loid,” “Dreaming Leaf -Yumemiru Kotonoha-,” “Fukigen Waltz,” and “Miracle Paint.” The medley will begin with just Hatsune Miku, but one by one, more Vocaloids will appear for a total of six characters doing a live performance.
When you clear a medley, your Voltage gauge for the area will fill up, and you’ll be able to freely choose which area you want to advance to next.
