Square Enix showcases Witch Chapter 0 [Cry] Luminous Engine DirectX 12 tech demo

Witch Chapter 0 [Cry]

Square Enix was at the Microsoft Build Developer Conference today with a new tech demo showcasing DirectX 12 on Windows 10.

The demo, titled Witch Chapter 0 [Cry], the real-time demo was created mainly by the developer’s of Agni’s Philsophy: Final Fantasy Real-Time Tech Demo, a Luminous Studio tech demo first revealed in 2012.

Witch Chapter 0 [Cry] is a research project that studies a varetiy of next-generation technologies, with Square Enix conducting extensive research on real-time CG tech utilizing Direct X 12 in collaboration with Microsoft and NVIDIA. The results of this research will be incorporated into Square Enix’s Luminous Engine, and will be used in future game development.
