Following its European announcement in July, Namco Bandai confirmed One Piece: Romance Dawn for a holiday release in the Americas at the Tokyo Game Show.

The 3DS game is a turn-based RPG where players will battle against famous bosses like Buggy, Arlong, and Crocodile while in the sandals of Straw Hat crew members like Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. Players will level up and customize their characters, craft items, and travel across various islands.

“The One Piece franchise boasts action-packed battles, compelling characters, and sensational settings all interwoven into a truly remarkable storyline that has captivated fans for years,” said Namco Bandai senior VP of sales Chris Gilbert.

“By adapting this widely acclaimed anime license into an exciting new RPG experience, our goal is to provide fans familiar and thrilling adventures as they become the hero and set sail on their own voyage to become the Pirate King.”
