Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, an enhanced version of Ragnarok Odyssey due out for PS Vita in Japan this July (a PlayStation 3 version is also in development), will be able to inherit specific data from Ragnarok Odyssey.
Players will be able to import character data (name, gender, skin color, face type, etc.—clothes will revert back to the class default) and card data (weapon and monster cards—cards attached to clothes will not be transferred). Any downloadable content purchased for Ragnarok Odyssey can also be used in Ragnarok Odyssey Ace.
Pre-orders for Ragnarok Odyssey Ace in Japan will include the “Yggdrasil Hat” item for use in Ragnarok Online on PC.
First-run bonuses include the “Kingdom Knight Leader” (male) and “Princess Dress” (female) outfits for use in Ragnarok Odyssey Ace. Both costumes will increase the player’s maximum HP and ACE Skill damage. Additionally, consumers will also get the “Yggdrasil Hat” and “Yggdrasil Ring” for use in Ragnarok Online.
Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will be on display at the GungHo Festival 2013 on April 29 at Prism Hall in Tokyo Dome City.
Plans for a western release have been announced, but a date has not been set.
