Imageepoch debuted the first trailer of Toki to Towa during their “JRPG Declaration 2012″ press conference today. Unfortunately, it only contains a few seconds of actual gameplay footage, though Imageepoch CEO Ryoei Mikage assured viewers the game looks like a playable anime.
The press conference itself was set up behind a desk as a webcast, rather than in a building with hundreds of press members in the audience. Those watching the live stream were invited to ask questions. As echoed in this week’s Famitsu, the game is an action RPG, not a turn-based RPG. It will utilize both fixed and moving cameras. It will be released this year, probably before winter, and will have post-release downloadable content. The game will be shown at the Tokyo Game Show in September. Development completion is currently at 20 percent.
