Final Fantasy Type-0: New Moogle, character, and gameplay details
Last night, small bits of new information for Final Fantasy Type-0 came out of the latest Dengeki PlayStation. This morning, we’ve some more in-depth coverage.
As revealed yesterday, Moogles are a big part of Final Fantasy Type-0. In this PSP fantasy, Moogle stands for “Military Operation Organization Guidance / Logistics Expert.” Each class in Suzaku, the school of the main characters in Class Zero, has its own Moogle. Class Zero’s Moogle is voiced by 12 year-old actress Sumire Moroshi. Its name is Hattsumikamine Routoyousuna Elfuruchi. Of course, this isn’t its official Romanization. In one screenshot, the Moogle is shown in an event scene with Class Zero teacher Kurasame.
The issue revealed a few other characters, as well. They are:
- Khalia Chival VI (voiced by Iemasa Kayumi) – the 174th principle of the Suzaku school and leader of the country of Rebrum. Now a man of long gray hair, he was known for his magic abilities in his youth.
- Qator Bashtar (voiced by Hideo Ishikawa) – another member of the gray hair family, Quator is a general in the military of the country Milites, which invades Rebrum. He always fights in the front lines, proving he has great pride as a soldier.
- Izana (voiced by Keiji Fujiwara) – a Suzaku soldier, Izana is a fan of Chocobos. In the January trailer, he was shown as the hooded character who looked as if he was dying, speaking to one ofthe Class Zero students.
On the Suzaku magic school, Dengeki’s confirmed that this will serve as your base of operations. A “Crystarium” area within the building allows you to view your battle history; an area which looks like a mission briefing room is also shown.
Separate from the story, the game will also have free missions. You can take on missions by speaking with a Moogle, though it’s unclear if Moogles assign the free missions. After accepting a mission, you’ll move to the world map and head out to the battle field. You’ll clear a mission after its conditions are met.
Final Fantasy Type-0 is out on PSP later this year.
Thanks, Andriasang.
