Tales of Graces F confirmed for North America
posted on 02.02.11 at 04:43 PM EDT by (@salromano)

Namco Bandai’s mysterious teaser site, ‘A Tale of Two Richards,’ has finally shut shop. In place of its previously distorted puzzles is a single image of the Tales of Graces F logo. Below that, it reads: “Coming soon to North America.”

That’s all we’ve got for now. The only mystery left: where’s Tales of Vesperia for PlayStation 3? Its logo was teased yesterday on the site.

OMG!! I imported this because I never thought it would be localized. Gonna have to buy it again. Can’t wait to play it in English!

  • BizarreJelly

Very pleased :) was desperate to play Graces, especially the ps3 version. Woop!

  • Excellent news! I shall be importing without a doubt.

  • iJad

I must said it… We Win Guys! ^^

    But where’s Vesperia PS3 huh?

  • AdamBoy64

This is amazing news. Still unbelievable.
Those who are wondering about Vesperia PS3 localisation…

I’ve been thinking, the Graces F localisation was the first one to be hinted at, on the first day. That’s just been announced. Vesperia was the last one to be hinted at, with a fair few games before it. I think we should give it some time.

    Great news about Graces F.

  • Blades64

    I’m anticipatng Vesperia PS3…

And we still haven’t heard about Tekken yet, so there’s still hope, right?

  • only Vesperia left and when these games prove to be successful in the west. hopefully we get Xillia as well :)

please when you localize these games namco(especially Vesperia) i want all DLC on disc. i want my KOS-MOS outfit ^^

oh and Dual Audio please :D

  • Mr. T

Put away your toilet- paper and pitchforks, and get out your wallets! NB has answered our plea. Lets support this 100%, and Xillia will be ours!

  • Doolox

I think we will see TOV some time NEXT week.
I think we will find out what game was in the image one at a time

I’m glad they officially announced Graces F. This is very good news.

As for Vesperia PS3 port, I haven’t given up hope completely, but, this “A Tale of Two Richards” site thing was kinda confusing…

I’m talking about right around when they started putting other games in with the clues, or putting things from them in with the warped logo…

Were they just putting in those clues to throw us off? Was it just trying to show what games they have localized in the past? Or, was it a clue as to future game releases?

The last one seems to be what most people thought, but the entire site was pretty vague until the official announcement.

I still stand by my previous statement though, The fans, like us… have to go out and purchase the game to show NB we want more Tales games localized!

  • Chaos Raiden

Yes! Gonna buy this game the day it comes out! ^_^

  • sheppard00

Great news, been waiting this for long time ago. Now just need the confirmation of the European release and i’ll be happy. Then i’ll wait with pleasure, but if they wouldn’t launch the game in Europe no problem, i’ll import it in 5sec.

  • Jackle

Was never interested in Tales of Graces F, but I know there’s a lot of people happy right now. I hope it does well for Namco.

  • Juam

OK! now that namco has answered our plea, tell your friends, your friends friends, your parents, your parents friends and whoever to buy the freakin game! Let us support namco on this one!

  • TalesOf_STI

@flamfas Those weren’t Vesperia logos, only massively warped TOGF images! I had to make a way to keep fans guessing.
about 8 hours ago via Mobile Web in reply to flamfas

sorry guys.. but like i said a bunch of times.. theres always the future.. maybe the 3DS or NGP.. we need to support them thought so we can get xillia too

    • AdamBoy64

I beg to disagree with Rich’s comment there. The evidence looked pretty substantial to me.

Obviously he can’t come out now and say, “Hey! Yes! You’re absolutely right, we’re also localising Vesperia on PS3!”, because he couldn’t announce it yet. So what he said is going to be his only possible response.

I’m not saying Vesperia PS3 is definitely coming out, but he would never be able to write anything different – so I don’t take his response as much truth. Just my thoughts on it, anyhow.

Anyway, Tales on NGP would be awesome. Or 3DS. Actually. Tales of anything on any console/handheld localised would be good.

  • well, the site address have it clear btw. the only tales that have Richard on it is Graces.hahaha

btw, i assume they haven’t started the project yet. if they’ve worked in it, the site should open with first trailer. well, i guess 3 months from now?

    • AdamBoy64

Yes, I’d be interesting to know what the site name meant. Whether he just knew a fair bit about Graces, or whether he was referring to himself as well.

  • Those upset about the absence of Vesperia — and Richard’s obvious cover-up that the Vesperia logo was a “massively warped” Graces logo — then there might still be hope.

Remember how the site also teased Galaga and Pac-Man? Well look at what were just announced today: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=420700

    • Doolox

so there are still two games with no word on them

      Tekken Tag Tournament 2
      Tales of Vesperia

so i guess it’s just the waiting game at this point

  • Shikinami

    PS3 Vesperia is pretty much the only way for me to play the game since the European 360 version is very rare to find nowadays. Why did they have to make it region locked? ;_;

  • Adurna012

im happy were finally getting Tales of Graces. Makes me sad just a little about no Vesperia cause me and my friend put a couple hundred hours into the 360 version. but cant complain too much. namco is finally coming through for us!

    • I beat Vesperia on 360 quite a few times. ^__^

      Really want the PS3 version.

      • so Sal when’s the next Tales announcement? i know there are still 2 titles being teased.

probably Vesperia and Tekken Tag 2 :D
