Assumed Play Time
- To complete the game: about three to four hours.
- To collect all ending branches: about six to eight hours.
Key Features
- Visual Beauty of “Wa” – You can play games amidst beautiful Japanese visuals inspired by Kawase Hasui’s new prints and other works. Enjoy the beautiful ukiyoe-like landscapes and bold Kabuki-like illusions of the uniquely Japanese world of “death.”
- Japanese-Style Horror Scare Experience – You will experience a horror story with a production style that incorporates old Japanese customs and folklore, such as the Oiran Yashiki and the Kitsune no Yomeiri. Please join the main character, high school girl Hinako, and experience the horror of a world “between life and death” that is unique to Japan.
- A Multi-Ending Story About “Death” – Facing the “death” of a relative, the artist impulsively started to create this work. The story of the “irreplaceability” of life and the “connection with others” can be experienced by following several divergent routes through the centuries-long story of “love” between human beings and God in a small town in Japan. Still illustrations and 2D animations drawn by the author himself are also found throughout the book.
Story
A memory from the distant, distant past—. Hinako was crying in the forest. A mysterious floating being gave her an “OMUSUBI” and…
Time passed, and Hinako was living a peaceful life as a high school student. However, her path to school suddenly turns into an eerie place. The familiar riverbed has been transformed into the Sanzu River!
The river that Hinako is heading to is a hell, a place between this world and the next. She encounters a crowd of bizarre creatures. The girl’s eyes are filled with the mysterious happenings of the heavenly world. The girl and Issa, a man with a peculiar appearance, go through the mysterious devices of the mysterious mansion. Will the girl be able to return safely to the “world” where her family awaits her?
The Japanese-style horror game, which won the only Grand Prize in the Newcomer’s Award sponsored by Game Magazine, is finally available on Steam.
