Konami announces magick action adventure game Rhapsody in Scarlet for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC

Konami has announced Rhapsody in Scarlet, an original magick-themed action adventure game coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. A release date was not announced.

Story
New York City in the 1920s—a dazzling metropolis filled with the sound of jazz and the glow of soaring skyscrapers.
While the city reveled in its glamour, an unseen conflict simmered among those who practiced magick in secret.
Arriving in New York to pursue a career as a jazz singer, the young magus Ellie soon finds herself caught in an unexpected incident. The encounter leads her to Ilya, leader of the Seekers, an elite organization of magi.
Though the free-spirited Ellie and the serious-minded Ilya frequently clash, they gradually forge a strong bond as they investigate the schemes of the mysterious mafia.
Their investigation draws them ever deeper into the city’s secrets, revealing a fateful battle that threatens the very balance of the world.

Characters
Ellie Myers (voiced by Cherami Leigh in English, Akari Kitou in Japanese) – Our story’s protagonist, Ellie is a young magus who arrived in New York to pursue a career as a jazz singer. Fighting alongside her beast buddy, Sköll, she channels the powers of beasts and magick to unleash coordinated attacks. Valuing freedom above all else, Ellie refuses to be bound by rules or authority. With her unconventional thinking and unwavering determination, she will confront a world-shaking conspiracy and the destiny that awaits her.
Ilya Jones (voiced by Hannah Grace in English, Saori Oonishi in Japanese) – The young leader of the Seekers, a magus organization. Raised under the tutelage of Harold, her father and the head of the Sorcellerie Quarter, she is an exceptionally talented magus who possesses both remarkable skill and a strong sense of responsibility. Valuing order above all else, she frequently clashes with the free-spirited Ellie. By fighting side-by-side through many battles, the two gradually come to understand one another.
