Following its launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 9, 2025, the Switch version of magic school massively multiplayer online RPG Wizard101 will launch on January 13, developer KingsIsle Entertainment announced.
While the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are available as free downloads, the Switch version will only be available as a $19.99 purchase, which includes full access to the first of the current five story arcs. As players progress further, content can be unlocked through the purchase of Crowns (premium currency). Accounts created on Switch will play on the same server as other console players.
Wizard101 first launched for PC on September 2, 2008, and is currently available via client download and Steam.
