An open beta test for medieval cooperative roguelike hack-and-slash action game Tears of Metal is now available for PC via Steam until April 17, developer Paper Cult announced.
Here is an overview of the beta:
What’s the Goal of the Beta?
This beta is the foundation for what will become the first Act. Here’s what we’re hoping to achieve with your help:
- Gameplay Feedback – Let us know what you love, what feels off, and what could be better. Your feedback is crucial in helping us sharpen the experience.
- Bug Reports – The beta still has some rough edges, and we expect a few bumps. If you hit a bug or crash, we most definitely want to hear about it!
The best place to report issues or drop feedback is our Discord. We’ve set up dedicated channels just for the beta.
Expect patches and updates throughout the week as we respond to feedback and fix bugs!
What’s in the Beta?
The current beta is a distilled version of Act 1. It features a focus version of what’s to come in the full experience.
Here’s what you’ll find:
- Around 12 enemies
- One boss fight
- 20 charms to experiment with
- Four emblem families to explore
- A touch of meta progression in the Village
- Secrets and unlockables to reward multiple playthroughs
All of this will evolve into our full demo, so we want to know what works and what doesn’t.
