City Tales: Medieval Era launches in Early Access on May 22
Medieval strategic city builder dated.
Medieval strategic city builder City Tales: Medieval Era will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on May 22, publisher Firesquid and developer Irregular Shapes announced. A demo is available now as part of the “City Builder & Colony Sim Fest” on Steam.
Here is an overview of the game and Early Access release, via Firesquid:
City Tales: Medieval Era will offer an Early Access launch full of content with an intricate economy with over 50 different types of resources and over 60 types of buildings. With its custom 3D procedural engine, which generates each building individually, the player is immersed in a city where each building and each plot is truly unique.
This game lets players step into the role of a medieval lord, directing the shape and growth of their kingdom. Players can try the innovative urban planning tool to draw districts, craft over 60 buildings, and experience the game’s companion system. Builders will grow their settlements from small hamlets to sprawling medieval cities, evolving their creations and eventually building monuments that will truly represent their city.
City Tales: Medieval Era emphasizes the narrative with a cast of companions. These characters work with the player to build the city and whose storyline and growth they get to decide. Player’s decisions shape how each story unfolds, adding a new layer of replayability and immersion to the city-builder genre.
Irregular Shapes plans to expand City Tales: Medieval Era with new content regularly during the Early Access, including more buildings, resources, and a deeper companion system with more narrative elements, maps, and quality-of-life updates. Players who decide to support the Early Access now can also use the Photo Mode to capture their creations and share them with the community on Steam and social media.
