Dank Hearts will release a new demo for multi-ending escape adventure game Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo for PC via Steam, featuring the game’s first two chapters of the game, on February 24 as part of Steam Next Fest: February 2024 Edition, the company announced.
During the first two chapters, players will be able to experience new puzzles and three exploration segments. “Players will be able to explore protagonist Zena’s arrival into eerie, unfamiliar territory, then face her fears as mental anguish turns into hazardous hallucinations,” reads the press release.
Here is an overview of the game, via Dank Hearts:
Six teens find themselves lost in Noise Scramble City, a mind-bending metropolis manifesting their past traumas as “Noise” — mystifying mirages in the physical realm. Explore the Tokyo-esque cityscape and solve puzzles to break the mental chains of this perplexing alternate reality.
Every brain-teasing struggle carries a clue to overcoming the next obstacle — maintain a sharp memory and draw upon past experiences to unlock the path forward.
Uncover the mysterious beginnings of Noise Scramble City by engaging with the Spectre, the town’s eccentric and enigmatic feline guide. Unravel the truth behind each teenager’s predicament: every puzzle solved reveals a potential path to freedom from this mental labyrinth.
Guide each protagonist as they confront manifestations of their troubled histories. Overcome Zena’s stubbornness, Itsuki’s jealousy, Honoka’s paranoia, Kaito’s self-doubt, Hiyori’s vanity, and Soto’s codependency to unearth the root of their struggles and break free from the labyrinthine city for good.
Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo is due out for PC via Steam in 2025.
