Amplifier Game Invest subsidiary Green Tile Digital has announced Locomoto, a life simulation adventure game “that captures the timeless romance of travelling on a train.” It will launch for PC via Steam in 2025.
“Locomoto was born out of our love of those special moments that make train journeys magical,” said Green Tile Digital CEO Ben Clarke in a press release. “We wanted to create more than just another life sim game—we wanted to capture that unique feeling of possibility and connection that comes from sharing a journey with others.”

Developed by Green Tile Digital, Locomoto transforms the traditional concept of riding a train into a heartwarming life-sim adventure where every station brings new stories and every passenger adds character to players’ ever-evolving railway home.
In Locomoto, players embark on their journey with a modest train that serves as a blank canvas for creativity and expression on the backdrop of a warm, lo-fi world full of life. Key gameplay features of the game include:
- Crafting a Dream Train, where each wagon can be transformed using furniture crafted from resources discovered and earned throughout players’ travels. Splash colors, select styles and create specialized spaces from cozy lounge cars to elegant dining carriages; all immersing players in the fantasy of owning and operating their very own train.
- Reconnecting a World through meeting and interacting with the locals as players travel between towns and reach new destinations. Tending to the needs of the passengers that board the train will uncover their stories that expand the vibrant, lo-fi world, and as more stations become available these stories will unravel into a rich tapestry of fates and aspirations.
- A Relaxing Blend as Locomoto seamlessly mixes train management, crafting and relationship building, sprinkling the unique magic of train travel on top. The world is filled with resources to gather and transform into furniture, decorations and essential items through intuitive crafting menus. Each completed quest unlocks new items and blueprints, and advances the story forward.
- Lo-Fi Vibes & Big Feels as Locomoto’s attention to detail shines through, whether it’s the carefully crafted lo-fi soundtrack accompanying every journey or a dynamic day/night cycle to create ever-changing moods.
