■ Enjoy the Limitless Fun of Skullrock Island
On Marona and her companions’ base, Skullrock Island, your allies can manage the various Facilities to provide services. To unlock a new Facility, simply create a unit of the required class. These Facilities offer a range of benefits, such as a Shop where you can purchase items, and a Juice Bar, which allows you to distribute EXP amongst your allies.
Additional Facilities allow you to strengthen your units even further, such as Dungeon Creation, Fusion, Awakening / Reincarnation, Titles, and more, offering near-limitless opportunities for enjoyment! For in-depth information on the various Facilities and what benefits they provide, please refer to the media kit below.
■ Introducing the Facilities of Skullrock Island
Marina – Necessary Character: Apricot
By strengthening your pirate ship, you are able to increase your entire party’s stats.
Depending on the pirate ship you choose, your boosted stats will change. Ships can do things like increasing the amount of EXP gained to help you level up or increasing movement and jump ability for maps with large height differences. Try choosing the best ship for your current situation!
Skills – Necessary Unit: Fighter or Striker
—You can learn Skills by clearing the conditions necessary to obtain Skills and Abilities and selecting them on the “Learn Skill” screen.
Skills are actions that can be used in combat, such as attacks, healing, or buffs. There are Skills that deal a massive amount of damage to a single enemy, Skills that damage several enemies in a wide range at once, Skills that can heal multiple allies, and more. Carefully choosing your Skills can change the tide of battle!
Abilities are tied to a unit’s class or race and have various effects such as increasing their stats, pushing enemies off the map, decreasing damage sustained, strengthening Gadgets, increasing the range of attacks, and much, much more. Take your time and enjoy searching for just the right combination of Abilities to take on battles with ease!
However, there’s a limit to how many you can learn, so sometimes it may be necessary to forget previously-learned Skills and Abilities. Once a Skill has been learned, it can be forgotten with the “Skill Order” command. Skills that have been forgotten can be re-learned at any time.
Fusion
You can strengthen an item by synthesizing it with Mana and materials. When you get a new weapon and find that you no longer need the weapon you had been using, use Fusion. The new weapon’s HP and other stats will be increased, and you will be able to use this powered-up version in battle.
You can also convert items into Mana to obtain the item’s Title!
—Synthesize your unused items to make the strongest weapons!
Titles – Necessary Unit: Old Man
Titles are transferable labels that affect a unit’s status. Each unit or item possesses a Title from the beginning, and each Title has different effects. You can equip Titles however you desire, so if you obtain an item with a powerful Title, be sure to try transferring it to something else!
—Affix powerful Titles for various, powerful stat boosts!
Titles can also be equipped to dungeons you’ve created. Affix a Title to a dungeon and every floor of the dungeon you clear will increase that Title’s stats! Defeat random dungeons to strengthen Titles and use them to improve your units and items!
—When you give a dungeon a Title, all monsters in that dungeon will also receive that Title. Be sure you’re ready for some difficult battles before you decide to equip a powerful Title!
Juice Bar – Necessary Unit: Chef
Using the Juice Bar, you can redistribute accumulated experience to different characters. The more you increase the level of the Juice Bar, the more experience you will be able to accumulate.
By making use of the Juice Bar, you can raise the level of a newly-created ally in an instant or level up a Reincarnated ally from Level 1. It’s an extremely useful tool for powering up your characters!
—If you increase the ratio of EXP stored at the Juice Bar to over 100%, characters that you deploy in battle will receive 0 EXP, but the amount of EXP that will go to the Juice Bar will be over 100%! Talk about a deal!
Awaken / Reincarnate – Necessary Unit: Marona
By using Awaken / Reincarnate, you can change a unit’s class or increase the Spirit (stat bonus).
Awakening is a unit-strengthening feature that allows you to keep a unit’s current level and receive the corresponding amount of Spirit.
It’s a great way to keep the same class, race, and level while still powering that unit up.
—Use Spirit to add stat bonuses and strengthen your units!
Reincarnation is a system where a character’s class or race can change and they are reset to Level 1 while retaining their Skills, Abilities, and Title.
When Reincarnating, you will receive that character’s current level worth of Spirit, which you can then distribute to their stats, so they will be much more powerful than a normal Level 1 unit. In addition, since they will keep the Skills and Abilities of their former class or race, they will be a very unique unit.
To use either Awakening or Reincarnation, very important items called “Changebooks” and “Eggs” are required, respectively.
—A Fighter who has Reincarnated into a Witch retains the Fighter’s Wild Cry Ability.
You can overcome class restrictions by repeatedly Reincarnating to raise units that possess your ideal Abilities!
Create Dungeons – Necessary Unit: Explorer
By creating random dungeons and completing them, you can level up your units, find items, and strengthen Titles. Dungeons are created by using a Map. The Map’s name will determine the dungeon’s location, enemies, stats, and obtainable items.
When creating a random dungeon, you can freely choose its Title and, when you clear the dungeon, you will receive the Title you created as a reward.
Be sure to level up all the Titles you create!
—When you create a dungeon, you’ll receive the name you set as a Title upon clearing it. Try making up your own, original Titles!
—As you progress through a dungeon’s floors, the enemies’ levels will increase, which in turn strengthens the Title of the dungeon. In addition, the chance that rare items will appear also increases.
In addition, there are floor bonuses that allow you to obtain more EXP. Also, every 10th floor, an event might occur where you will encounter a Gadget that only appears in dungeons, the Slot Machine.
This gives you the chance to earn more EXP, Mana, or BOR. If you’re lucky, you might get a rare item, but if you’re unlucky, something horrible might happen. Still, it’s a great chance to strike it rich and power up!
—However, if you are defeated in a dungeon, you will lose all obtained items and EXP. As you advance, enemies will get stronger and stronger. Be sure to exit the dungeon when you can, or proceed with the utmost caution!
—Aside from completely clearing every floor, you are only able to exit a dungeon every 10 floors by using the exit or at any time using the Explorer’s special command, Return. It is also possible to create a temporary save in the random dungeons. To resume, just select “Continue” from the Title Screen.
Salvage – Necessary Unit: Angler
Automatically obtain the treasure hidden in a given nautical region by dispatching Salvage groups. The time needed to complete, and the items received, will change depending on the location and the approach taken by the dispatched Salvage crew.
Your crew will search for items automatically as time passes, no matter whether you clear a stage or progress the story, so be sure to send those groups out! What a convenient service!
—The items found change depending on the Angler’s level! The amount of time needed to find items will decrease as you power up the Salvage group with BOR (currency).
Gadgets – Necessary Unit: Engineer
Create and power up Gadgets to summon on the battlefield!
Use Gadgets you’ve created to destroy blocks, bring items to you, and perform special actions in battle, providing many different ways to tackle each map!
■ Introducing Some of the Phantoms
A total of 51 phantom units will appear in the game, from nostalgic classes to those with new outfits, and entirely new classes making their debut. Here is a look at some of the unique classes that appear in the game:
Striker
Frontline fighters with high physical defense that use spears. Possess the unique ability to increase their attack power by moving, making them a great choice for a mobile fighter. Have high physical defense, but low magical defense, so be careful!
Wizard
Has a broader AOE range than the similar magic class, the Witch, so they can attack more enemies from the backlines. Just like the Witch, they have low physical defense and are not very mobile, but if you account for that, they are a class you can rely on to take care of multiple foes.
Healer
Not only does this class possess healing abilities, but they also increase the defense of all allies in range, so they can fulfill their role simply by being deployed as a backline healer. Necessary for the Heal Facility, so having at least one will make your adventure easier.
Engineer
A unique class that allows you to use Gadget-related abilities such as building up more Mana. Their real value is revealed when there are Gadgets on the map. Deploy them with Apricot to witness their true power!
Old Man
Can use any close-range weapon well and is a powerful frontline fighter. Though he has some peculiar abilities, his high attack and defense make him very useful in battle. However, he will be Removed after only 2 turns, so he is best used when you need a burst of power.
Granny
The most powerful backline humanoid magic class. Has high INT and magical defense, which affects magic casting, and high RES, which affects healing. Can also obtain abilities that increase the AOE and range of Skills. However, like the Old Man, she will be Removed after only two turns, so your timing is very important.
Sailor
A peculiar mid-range unit that doesn’t have any special abilities or specialities, but instead has the most turns before being Removed. Their abilities make them the target of attacks, so they’re useful for shielding weaker allies. Train this class to get many abilities such as an ability to increase their Remove turns, get more EXP, decrease SP usage, and other unique skills. Maybe it would be worthwhile to raise one as a training exercise!?
Goat Fighter
An exceptional warrior of the Goat tribe with the ability to blow back their enemies. Their attack power increases as they move, and their other abilities increase with additional Goat tribe units on the map, making them an easy class to power up. However, they are extremely weak to magic, so be careful!
Mer Guard
A Mer tribe warrior with strong defenses who can protect their allies. Can reliably protect allies with their Mer tribe characteristics of being immune to status ailments and having high magic defense. Abilities increase with other Mer tribe units on the map.
Owl Gunner
An Owl tribe class that uses guns and has high JUMP power. Abilities increase with other Owl tribe units on the map. Can toy with enemies by taking potshots at them from high vantage points while avoiding damage.
Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is due out for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on January 30, 2025 worldwide, followed by PC via Steam in spring 2025.
