Kanon for Switch update to add English and Simplified Chinese language support on December 5

The Switch version of romance visual novel Kanon, which launched on April 20, 2023 in Japan, will be updated with English and Simplified Chinese language options on December 5, publisher PROTOTYPE announced. The opening movie will also be viewable in all three available languages (English, Japanese, and Simplified Korean).
The new languages are likely the same translations used for the PC version of Kanon that launched via Steam on June 20 worldwide.
While not announced, this update might also suggest the Switch version of Kanon will be released worldwide on the same date, as the publisher’s visual novel games normally launch day-and-date worldwide when an English language option is available.
