Wolfeye Studios shares first look at in-development retro sci-fi first-person action RPG
Limited private alpha test planned for 2025.
Wolfeye Studios, an independent development studio co-led by president Raphael Colantonio, who founded Arkane Studios and co-created Dishonored and Prey, is currently developing an untitled first-person action RPG that just wrapped pre-production and is now in full production, the company announced. It is said to be an “ambitious new IP built upon the DNA of earlier Arkane [Studios] games” that will “deliver a rich and detailed world, freedom of how to play, and a deep RPG experience.”
The announcement follows a tease at Game Developers Conference 2024 in March, where Wolfeye Studios shared an image of a whiteboard from its Austin office with the words “retro sci-fi” and “first-person” scribbled on it.

Wolfeye Studios plans to hold a limited private alpha test in 2025, and is encouraging users to sign up via the interest list at the studio’s official website.
“We are so happy to be able to officially confirm that our next game is actively in production and that it is a first-person action RPG,” said president and creative director, Raphael Colantonio in a press release. “Fans of the past games I have been involved with such as Dishonored and Prey will feel at home, as well as fans of RPGs in general. While we look for the right publishing partner, our sights are firmly set on getting our community involved with the game’s development with a limited private alpha in 2025. We can not wait for fans to see what we are working on.”
Wolfeye Studios is made up primarily of staff who came from Arkane Studios Lyon and the recently closedArkane Studios Austin. Colantonio is joined by CEO and executive producer Julien Roby, who is also a former Arkane Studios executive who worked on Dishonored and other Arkane Studios games.
