‘Open universe’ sandbox survival game For the Stars announced for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC

ARK series publisher Snail has announced For the Stars, an internally developed space-themed “open universe” sandbox survival game coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. A release date was not announced.
In For the Stars, players will be able to explore diverse worlds, research new technology, customize their spacecraft, battle space pirates, and much more.
“We’re thrilled to finally officially announce For the Stars after three years of development,” said game director Primus Majda in a press release. “We are gamers first and foremost. We love survival games and Snail has a lot of experience with them. We have an ambitious game in mind, and we are taking what we’ve learned from other projects to make it happen. Our goal is to create a game that’s played like a sandbox survival game, but has the impact of a 4X galaxy civilization game.”

For the Stars invites you to explore and settle a vast universe of diverse planets, each with its own unique wonders and mysteries to uncover.
