Publisher Bushiroad Games and developer FuRyu have announced competitive card game sequel Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days 2 for Switch and PC (Steam). It will launch on January 30, 2025 worldwide for $69.99 / 7,678 yen. A physical edition will also be available for Switch in Japan. It will support English and Japanese language options.

The paths of Yuki Ichidoji and Otowa Dosaki intertwine!
Featuring character designs by Akira Ito, a fully original story supervised by Bushiroad starring Otowa Dosaki and the protagonist of the previous game Yuki Ichidoji unfolds!
From Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez, owners of the Fated One cards also make an appearance! Akina and others appear with newly drawn illustrations! Not only will they play an active role in the story, but they can also be selected as player characters!
Characters
- Yuki Ichidoji (voiced by Yuka Nishio) – A second-year high school student at Omi Academy, and the student council president. Through Vanguard, she discovered the will to fight not for others’ wishes but for her own. She revived the legendary team Setsugetsuka and united the members’ desires.
- Otowa Dosaki (voiced by MoeMi) – A transfer student at the high school division of Omi Academy. She has a bright personality and a love for sweets, Highly skilled, she became a professional cardfighter at a young age but has distanced herself from Vanguard since a certain event.
- Kisato Kuga (voiced by Seiji Maeda) – The student council vice president at Omi Academy. A diligent and hardworking silver medalist. Despite her constant efforts, she is always easily outdone by Yuki, leading her to develop a bit of a complex.
- Gaku Nijo (voiced by Hiro Shimono) – A scion of a prestigious family attending the middle school division of Omi Academy. Due to his upbringing in a strict family environment, he has a quiet personality. Playing Vanguard during his spare time between lessons serves as a source of comfort and relaxation for him.
- Roh Nijo (voiced by Hiro Shimono) – A mysterious person brimming with confidence and possessing overwhelming strength in cardfights.
Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Characters
- Yu-yu Kondo (voiced by Shouta Aoi) – The leader of Team Blackout. Danji Momoyama’s sudden appearance drew him into the world of Vanguard cardfights and its captivating charm. He has a kind and considerate personality.
- Raika Koshiba (voiced by Jin Ogasawara) – A member of Team Tirnanog Youth. The student council president at Yu-yu’s high school. He is on good terms with Yu-yu as a rival. He greatly respects Michiru and holds him in high regard.
- Urara Haneyama (voiced by Karin Kagami) – A member of Team Blackout and Team Tirnanog Youth. A first-year middle school girl. She is usually shy, but a switch flips when she focuses on something she loves, and she displays amazing pressure and talent.
- Danji Momoyama (voiced by Yuki Ono) – A legendary Vanguard cardfighter who once led Team Blackout. With a bold and forthright personality, he interacts with everyone impartially.
- Tohya Ebata (voiced by Yuma Uchida) – An elite cardfighter with astonishing records in unofficial matches. Though confident and naturally gifted, he is also a hard worker. Always buys cards by the carton.
- Megumi Okura (voiced by Amane Shindo) – A member of Team Blackout. She is fiercely competitive. As a high school girl who is normally flawless to a fault in sports, academics and even demeanor, she is known as “Gloria Vanguard Meg” in school. She calls Danji “Big Bro” and greatly admires him.
- Zakusa Ishigame (voiced by Masahiro Ito) – A member of Team Blackout. A gentle young man with a soft demeanor. He has an artistic outlook and expresses it in creative ways, so his words and actions are often difficult for ordinary people to understand.
- Tomari Seto (voiced by Hikaru Tono) – A member of Team Blackout. By day, she works diligently as a policewoman, but once a cardfight begins, she transform into an intense MC and fiercely stirs up the crowd.
- Mirei Minae (voiced by Yuki Nakashima) – As the leader of Team Daybreak, her popularity rivals that of idols. Danji’s younger sister. She has a competitive spirit, but she is also caring, lively and cheerful.
Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days Characters
- Rasen Ichidoji (voiced by Marina Inoue) – A third-year middle school student at Omi Academy. Through cardfights with formidable opponents, he has grown from a timid younger brother that was always in need of help, into a dependable figure who runs errands to support Yuki.
- Gosetsu Katsushika (voiced by Taiten Kusunoki) – Owner of the card shop Osen. As someone who has a deep understanding of the cardfighters, he often acts as an advisor and confidant. He fondly watches over as new life is breathed into the team he once led and brought together once more by Yuki. He keeps in touch with Kanji occasionally.
- Kanji Meguro (voiced by Show Hayami Owner of the card shop chain Berserk. He can sometimes be found at the store counter, guiding troubled cardfighters on their path. He hosts the major tournament “V-Nation” and strives to further popularize Vanguard.
- Masaru Kita (voiced by Katsuhiro Tokuishi) – Unruly and short-tempered, he is quick to snap at anyone. A member of Setsugetsuka, and the one who was most thrilled about the team’s revival. Putting his skill level aside, his passion for Vanguard is second to none.
- Doshi Nakano (voiced by Jun Kasama) – A reticent cardfighter. He used to believe that the strength of cards reflected the strength of the cardfighter, but after playing against Rasen and the others, he had a change of heart and now believes in battling to overcome oneself. A member of the newly revived Setsugetsuka.
- Mika Shibuya (voiced by Kanna Nakamura) – Her cool demeanor remains unchanged, but she now spends her days with her teammates at Osen. Her passion for Vanguard is ever-present, and she helps motivates her troubled allies through intense cardfights. A member of the newly revived Setsugetsuka.
- Kuro Minato (voiced by Rin Sato) – A prideful narcissist with a tendency for delusions of grandeur. Though haughty, he shows his own form of respect towards the strong. He often accompanies his former teammate Haru.
- Haru Shinagawa (voiced by Mai Kanno) – A mysterious girl who likes to converse in idioms. She is in tune with her former teammate Kuro and often accompanies him.
- Tatsuki Bunkyo (voiced by Ryota Suzuki) – Always calm and composed even as his heart burns with passion, he believes in having fun. He struggles between the paths of inheriting the family shrine and advocating Vanguard. A member of the newly revived Setsugetsuka.
- Kana Aoyama (voiced by Hina Aoki) – A second-year high school student at Omi Academy and Yuki’s classmate. She’s bright and energetic high school girl who is a regular on the basketball team and enjoys pursuing her interests beyond Vanguard.
- Yui Itabashi (voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro) – A second-year high school student at Omi Academy and Yuki’s classmate. She is the type to get hooked once she has fun doing something. She is close to Kana and enjoys playing Vanguard with her.
- Taiji Arakawa (voiced by Rio Takahashi) – A twisted individual who thinks nothing of deceiving others. Once loyal to Kanji, he now harbor resentment after being betrayed. He frequently spends time with Noi, who attends the same high school.
- Noi Taito (voiced by Sousuke Shimokawa) – A cunning and sly person who doesn’t hesitate to deceive others. He feels betrayed and discarded by Kanji, whom he once deeply admired. He is often found with Taiji, who attends the same high school.
