Falcom has released new information and screenshots for The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria introducing the game’s “Grim Garten” element.
Get the details below.
■ Grim Garten
In order to recapture the virtual world that the Society—“Ouroboros”—took over, form a party with members that are available for battle. Enter the castle and capture each area!
In each area are avatars placed on the stage that represent the members of your party. Like a chess piece, you must capture the area by moving the avatars forward every turn.
By defeating the “Guardian” at the end of the stage, the area that can be captured will expand. Furthermore, access to various types of service that can be used within the virtual world will also be unlocked.
Additionally, as you further capture more areas, members of each party will be able to access “Grim Garten,” which may trigger dialogue events between characters from different parties and organizations.
Be Wary of Ouroboros Activity at the Grim Garten
As you liberate more and more areas of Grim Garten, Ouroboros—the Society that hacked the virtual world—will begin to interfere with your party members in various ways. Through Grim Garten, you may be able to find out information about the Society. There may be some truths that you may not expect to hear!
■ Grimoire Deciphering
While capturing the castle, you can find “Grim Tokens,” which can be used to decipher grimoires.
By deciphering more grimoires, you will be able to obtain useful materials for each element, such as Sepiths, Holo Cures, Quartz, and Accessories.
■ Pedestal of Reminiscence
In Grim Garten, you can receive special and sacred gems called “Memento Orbs.” Past events that happened in the continent of Zemuria are recorded on these gems, and you can view its contents by placing the gem onto the “Pedestal of Reminiscence.”
Everything that is recorded onto the Memento Orbs is “extremely important” information regarding the Trails series, such as the past of a main character or events that lead you closer to the truth about Zemuria.
The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell O Zemuria is due out for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on September 26 in Japan.
