Multiple Assassin’s Creed remakes planned, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot says
"There are worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still extremely rich."Multiple Assassin’s Creed remakes are currently planned at Ubisoft, company CEO Yves Guillemot revealed in an interview published on the Ubisoft Blog today.
“Players can be excited about some remakes, which will allow us to revisit some of the games we’ve created in the past and modernize them,” Guillemot said. “There are worlds in some of our older Assassin’s Creed games that are still extremely rich.”
Guillemot also said players can continue to expect a similar variety of Assassin’s Creed games going forward, referring to the smaller in scope Assassin’s Creed Mirage and the much larger Assassin’s Creed Shadows.”
“There will be plenty of experience variety,” Guillemot said. “The goal is to have Assassin’s Creed games come out more regularly, but not for it to be the same experience every year. There are a lot of good things to come, including Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which we’ve announced, which is going to be a very different game from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’re going to surprise people, I think.”
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, Mac via App Store, and Luna on November 15.
