16-bit-style retro-futuristic science-fiction text adventure game OMEGA 6: The Triangle Stars, formerly titled OMEGA 6: The Video Game, will launch for Switch on July 25, publisher City Connection and developer Happymeal announced.
OMEGA 6: The Triangle Stars is based on the manga OMEGA 6 written by Takaya Imamura, who was the main art director, character designer, and storywriter on the F-ZERO and Star Fox series.
In Japan, the game will be priced at 3,850 yen for the standard edition, 8,470 yen for the “Black Whole Box” special edition, and 16,500 yen for the special edition with an art book and signed card set. Pre-orders will open on April 5.
The “Black Whole Box” special edition includes a copy of the game, the original soundtrack (CD and download code), the Japanese-language OMEGA 6 comic, a manual booklet, and a mini-size poster. The special edition with art book and signed card set includes a Takaya Imamura art book and mini card directly signed by Imamura.

Future Earth. Thanks to a technology that extends the average lifespan up to about 400 years, people refused to embrace the next generation and now live a life full of leisure. One day, Earth saw an important migration of aliens and in the blink of an eye, all the major cities were occupied by aliens. To help mankind prosper again, Victor Franglin, a leading expert in lifespan research, created two androids, Thunder and Kyla, and their spaceship Omega 6, to help him in his research and find a new Earth where humans can live. They have been exploring space for more than 400 years for the planet of their dream, but to no avail, and this is how they ended up buying a whole planet. Now heavily indebted, our two heroes work as bounty hunters and treasure hunters and their adventures to various planets are about to begin!
