Xbox business update event set for next week – ‘details about our vision for the future of Xbox’

Microsoft will host a business update event next week to announce details about its “vision for the future of Xbox,” Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer announced. A specific date was not announced.

“We’re listening and we hear you. We’ve been planning a business update event for next week, where we look forward to sharing more details with you about our vision for the future of Xbox,” Spencer said on Twitter. “Stay tuned.”

The announcement comes hot off the heels of rumors this weekend that several high-profile Xbox first-party games are coming to rival platforms, including Starfield, Hi-Fi RUSH, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Sea of Thieves, and more.

The Verge reports that this business update was originally scheduled for later in February alongside the announcement of Hi-Fi RUSH for PlayStation 5 and Switch, but was moved up following this weekend’s rumors.
