“Venice has always been a city of romance in our heart,” said Memo Gogo developers Janalyn and Leo in a press release. “Our dream of visiting never materialized, but the fascination with Venice only grew stronger. To create this game, we spent three years virtually exploring every inch of Venice through Google Maps and travel books. Now, with Sophia as our guide, we aim to capture Venice’s essence—its love for life, music, and exquisite food—allowing players to experience the city’s magic firsthand, even if they haven’t had the chance to visit.”

Inspired by the renowned puzzle book series Where’s Wally?, Sophia the Traveler offers a delightful experience like no other, where every corner of the screen is a canvas waiting to be explored. This enchanting adventure invites players to journey through massive, hand-crafted in-game maps that vividly portray Venice’s kaleidoscope of color and charm.
The game boasts 10 distinct stages, featuring an extensive array of assets that breathe life into this virtual Venice. With over 1800 meticulously crafted character assets, more than 300 sets of character animations, and in excess of 100 sequence animations and sound effects, the game offers an immersive experience like no other. It not only ensures a whimsical and engaging experience for players of all ages but also presents a delightful challenge due to the sheer size of the stage maps. Notably, it showcases over 100 European buildings, including 8 iconic Venetian landmarks, and nearly 300 sound effects meticulously integrated to bring Venice to life.
In this charming hidden object adventure, you’ll embark on a journey through intricate, hand-painted landscapes teeming with life and color. Your mission? To find hundreds of charming, distinctive figures and items, each with its own unique animation and endearing dubbing. Sophia the Traveler is developed by a loving couple who have never actually been to Venice in person, but managed to recreate the entire Venice based on travel books and Google map information.
