The Star Named EOS is a brand new storytelling puzzle adventure game by Silver Lining Studio that utilizes panorama technology to create beautiful environments and combines photography and puzzle solving for an immersive storytelling game experience.
The story unfolds as you take photographs and solve puzzles, both elements interwoven in gameplay that encourages you to look closely at your beautiful surroundings. As the player, you’ll recreate scenes from your past memories and snap photographs of them, unraveling the mystery surrounding the protagonist’s family and finding a love that was long left unrealized.
The Story of a Star
Play as Dei, a young photographer following the footsteps of his missing mother. Often away from home traveling, Dei could only imagine his mother’s daring adventures through the photos and letters she sent to him as a child.
After noticing something strange in one of the pictures she had left behind her, everything Dei had believed is challenged. Now, guided by a voice deep within him, it’s time that Dei sets out to find the truth of his mother’s disappearance and finally move on…

About the Developer
Silver Lining Studio is an independent studio that was formed from an in-house project team at Akatsuki Taiwan. Their previous game Behind the Frame gained critical acclaim worldwide and was praised for its unique hand-drawn art style and emotional story.
As the name suggests, Silver Lining Studio’s motto is that “every cloud has a silver lining,” and the theme is prominent in their wonderful storytelling that is sure to leave an impression.

Hello everyone, we’re Silver Lining Studio, the developers of Behind the Frame, and now, The Star Named EOS!
Our new game will have a wonderful and touching story. We’ve included many puzzle elements that all tie in to the story, and we’ve use what we learned from past projects to improve playability! We hope that players who like story-focused games will enjoy the game. Right now, we’re about 60% of the way to completion.
PLAYISM has given us a lot of advice and support during development, and we’re really happy that we’re able to collaborate with each other like this! We’ll continue to work hard to make a game that players from all over the world can enjoy.
The Star Named EOS is planned to be completed in the first half of 2024. Please look forward to it with us!
Playable Demo to be Shown at PAX West 2023
It’s been four whole years since PLAYISM last participated in PAX West, but this year we’ll be there at Seattle, from September 1 to 4! We’ll be showcasing the very first playable demo of The Star Named EOS at the PLAYISM booth, so please stop by the Seattle Convention Center to try it out!
