The First Descendant cross-play open beta test delayed to September 19 to 25
No longer planned for late August.Nexon has delayed the cross-platform open beta test for free-to-play third-person cooperative action RPG shooter The First Descendant from its previously planned August 22 to 28 dates to September 19 to 25. It will be playable across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Registration is available here.

The Open Beta dates have been adjusted to September 19 to 25, 2023 to ensure that all enlisted Descendants are able to experience the title optimally on any platform of their choice. New features and improvements have come directly from players’ previous beta feedback found on Discord and other official channels, prioritizing optimized performance and significant quality-of-life adjustments. The first Descendant open beta will be available and free to play on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S starting September 19, 2023.
Additionally, Nexon will show players how they got to the current events that will be experienced at the beginning of the game via a substantial Prologue as they begin the open beta. Why did the Vulgus invade the Ingris continent? Why are they trying to get hold of the Iron Heart? How will humanity fight back? This will all be answered in The First Descendant’s Prologue.

- All participants will receive a limited-edition social motion.
