Level Infinite has announced strategy game Command & Conquer: Legions for iOS and Android via a licensing agreement with intellectual property owner Electronic Arts. A closed beta test for Android (Google Play) will occur later in August in Australia, Canada, France, Mexico, New Zealand, and the Philippines, followed by a global launch later in 2023.
“Legions is being created with both mobile platforms and mobile gamers in mind, matching the way people play on their devices with shorter, faster sessions and streamlined controls,” said Level Infinite senior director Anthony Crouts in a press release. “The mobile strategy gameplay of Legions provides a new type of experience while presenting familiar units, heroes and aspects of previous Command & Conquer games.”
Command & Conquer: Legions is a new mobile strategy game based in the Command & Conquer universe. The game incorporates iconic heroes and villains, factions and a vast array of units from across the Command & Conquer games. The reimagined storyline and a new approach to strategy gameplay opens endless strategic possibilities.
In Command & Conquer: Legions, engage in real-time PVE and PVP battles against other factions as you collect Tiberium, a powerful resource brought to earth that can either be used for technological advancement or to unleash destruction on enemies. On a large map shared with other commanders globally, you’ll be able to form strategic alliances of your choosing to coordinate attacks with your allies, share resources and strategize to outwit enemies. Send units to capture strategic locations and acquire as many Tiberium spikes as possible and claim precious resources. Outposts will extend reach and secure supply lines as players harvest resources, build bases, develop advanced technologies, and conquer cities and regions to claim victory.
