Tencent subsidiary LightSpeed Studios acquires Lucid Games

Studio to continue to operate independently.

Tencent subsidiary LightSpeed Studios has acquired Lucid Games, the companies announced.

Lucid Games is the studio behind Destruction AllStars and Switchblade. It also cooperated on the development of a number of external titles such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Sea of Thieves, Nightingale, Apex Legends, EA Sports PGA Tour, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Under LightSpeed Studios, Lucid Games will continue to “enjoy full independence” in the games that it creates and the operation of the studio, while having the support of LightSpeed Studios’ global network and technology capabilities.
