Lies of P nine-minute gameplay showcase

Publisher Neowiz and developer Round8 Studio have released a nine-minute gameplay showcase video for Soulslike action RPG Lies of P.
The video serves as an introduction to the game, starting with the basics like genre, inspirations behind the setting, story, and characters, before then delving into more nuanced topics such as gameplay systems and mechanics.
Systems showcased include the weapons assembly system, which allows the player to mix and match blades and handles from various weapons they discover; the Fable Arts, which are unique abilities attached to each weapon; and Legion Arms, which unlock new playstyles by equipping different mechanical arms with powerful effects.

Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action Souls-like game set in the dark, Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat. Once a beautiful city, Krat has become a living nightmare as deadly puppets run amok and a plague sweeps the land. Play as P, a puppet who must fight his way through the city on his unrelenting journey to find Geppetto and finally become human. Lies of P presents an elegant world filled with tension, deep combat and character customization systems, and a gripping story with interesting narrative choices where the more lies told, the more human P becomes. Just remember: in a world filled with lies, no one can be trusted…
Lies of P is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store on September 19. It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass. A demo is available now.
