Take-Two Interactive to ship “several groundbreaking titles” in fiscal year 2025, expects to achieve $8 billion in net bookings
Grand Theft Auto VI release window hinted?Take-Two Interactive will launch “several groundbreaking titles” in fiscal year 2025, which begins on April 1, 2024 and ends on March 31, 2025, that it believes will “set new standards in our industry” and earn over $8 billion in net bookings, the company said in its latest financial results announcement.
The press release reads:
Fiscal 2025 is a highly anticipated year for our company. For the last several years, we have been preparing our business to release an incredibly robust pipeline of projects that we believe will take our company to even greater levels of success.
In fiscal 2025, we expect to enter this new era by launching several groundbreaking titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry and enable us to achieve over $8 billion in net bookings and over $1 billion in adjusted unrestricted operating cash flow. We expect to sustain this momentum by delivering additional growth in our operating results in fiscal 2026 and beyond.
While not explicitly stated, one of these “groundbreaking titles” is likely the unannounced Grand Theft Auto VI by Take-Two Interactive subsidiary Rockstar Games.
As noted by IGN, Take-Two Interactive achieved a record annual high net bookings of $5.3 billion this past fiscal year, which was thanks to the contributions of Zynga, the acquisition of which completed in May 2022. Prior to that, its annual net bookings were roughly around $3 billion and steadily rising.
Given that the company expects to sustain its momentum in fiscal year 2026, it is not difficult to imagine that a new Grand Theft Auto Online shipped alongside Grand Theft Auto VI will play a large role.
