Notice Regarding the Samurai Shodown Netcode Update
SNK has been hard at work on the rollback netcode update for Samurai Shodown, originally slated for a spring 2023 release. The 1st Community Beta Test offered us great insight as to what we needed to improve. However, as a result of various setbacks and extenuating circumstances during development and in light of our ongoing efforts to further enhance player experience, we have made the decision to push back the official release of the update to late summer 2023.
We deeply apologize to our valued customers and passionate fans who have eagerly awaited this update, as well as for any disappointment this decision has caused.
In light of this revised update schedule, we are planning to conduct the 2nd Community Beta Test on Steam in June 2023. We will share further details as soon as they become available.
Rest assured though as we together with our partners at Code Mystics are fully committed to delivering a more seamless online battle experience, and we truly appreciate your understanding and patience throughout this process.
Samurai Shodown is available now for Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The Switch version is not among the platforms that will receive the rollback netcode update.
