Publisher SEGA and developer Amplitude Studios have delayed ENDLESS Dungeon from its previously planned May 18 release date to October 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Early access will be available on October 17 for users who pre-order the “Last Wish” digital edition. The Switch version will be available at a later date.
According to SEGA, the additional time will allow Amplitude Studios to better incorporate community feedback. The studio will work on improvements including balancing, meta-progression, onboarding, and general polishing.
“We’re grateful and honored that players are looking forward to playing ENDLESS Dungeon,” said Amplitude Studios general manager and chief creative officer Romain de Waubert in a press release. “The feedback we’ve received across our OpenDev sessions so far has proved to us that we truly have something special on our hands and we want to ensure we have time for the game to reach its full potential.
“Players have always been at the heart of our studio’s philosophy and releasing ENDLESS Dungeon in October will allow us the extra time to keep working with the community and polishing the game for an amazing day one experience. We can’t wait for fans of the Universe and newcomers alike to experience ENDLESS Dungeon‘s unique gameplay combination of roguelite, tactical action, and tower defense.”
