Publisher FuRyu and developer AQURIA premiered the opening movie and just over one minute of battle gameplay of newly announced action RPG CRYMACHINA during the game’s first official live stream today.
Here is some new information from the live stream:
- The concept of combat is exhilarating and cathartic battle. In addition to unleashing exhilarating combos while switching between close-range and ranged attacks, you can get a taste of catharsis through perfect dodges and counters to parry enemy attacks.
- By defeating enemies, the player collects “Family Machines,” which float on the back of the character. There are over 70 different Family Machines, each with different appearance and performance, that can be swapped in different combinations on your left and right sides. You will also be able to equip strengthening items called “Sentiments,” which allow you to adjust your skills and stats to fit your strategy.
- Some humans retain human mental data called “personality data,” and by analyzing that data, you can obtain special items useful in combat, as well as story-related scenarios about the data.
CRYMACHINA is due out for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on July 6 in Japan, and for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam this fall worldwide.
