Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on July 13 worldwide, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust announced.
In the west, Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg will only be available digitally in both standard and Digital Deluxe editions.
In Japan, the standard edition will cost 6,380 yen, while “Premium Box” and “Special Collection Box” limited editions will be available for 10,230 yen and 19,800 yen, respectively. The Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available for 8,580 yen.
The Premium Box includes a copy of the game, art book, clear card set, and “1997 & 2023” soundtrack selection CD. The Special Collection Box includes the Premium Box content, a B2 tapestry, special data book, acrylic diorama stand, and set of 20 clear bookmarks.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes a copy of the game, “Another Look” costume set (33 costumes), “Gust Extra Background Music Pack,” and the original PlayStation title Atelier Marie Plus: The Alchemist of Salburg. Users who purchase the standard physical or digital edition can upgrade via the 2,420 yen “Digital Deluxe Upgrade,” which includes all Digital Deluxe Edition content.
Pre-orders for the digital standard or Deluxe editions include a “Useful Items” set.

Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg is a full remake of the 1997-released PlayStation title. It is a slow life RPG that follows the hopeless student Marie as she struggles with alchemy, adventure, and completing requests as she aims to graduate within five years.
It will feature the following new elements:
- Unlimited Mode – Play without the five-year graduation deadline.
- Additional Events – Discover new sides and charms to each character through additional events between characters.
- Professor Ingrid’s Assignments – Assignments that serve as a guidepost for clearing the game, allowing you to quickly determine the answer to question “What should I do next?” common when playing high freedom RPGs.

At the Royal Academy of Magic (the Academy for short), Marie is failing in her attempts to study alchemy. One day, she is given an atelier by her professor as part of a special graduation exam. In order to graduate, Marie must complete an item that will impress her professor.
But first, Marie must strive to improve her alchemy skills, collect ingredients, and earn money to hire adventurers and buy recipes and utensils… Add all of that to the synthesis, battles, and quests she must undertake, and it’s clear that she has a lot to do before she’s ready for her exam!
It’s up to you to choose where to begin! Work hard to graduate from the Academy, but be sure to enjoy yourself along the way.
