Natsume has announced Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos. It will launch in summer 2023. Platforms were not announced.
The Harvest Moon series celebrated its 25th anniversary on June 17, 2022. Though it should be noted that this is an anniversary in name only, as the series that began in 1996, which was localized by Natsume in 1997 as Harvest Moon, is developed by Marvelous and known as Bokujou Monogatari in Japan—and that series is now known as Story of Seasons in the west. However, Natsume owns the rights to the Harvest Moon name and continues to produce its own farming / life simulation game under that banner.
Update 12/16/22 at 2:15 p.m.: In a tweet, Natsume CEO Hiro Maekawa said, “The new Harvest Moon will take players to new lands and include features that are completely new to the series. We are eager to reveal more next year since we still have so many big surprises planned for this remarkable anniversary.”
