Famitsu Sales: 12/5/22 – 12/11/22 [Update]

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of December 5, 2022 to December 11, 2022.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet for Switch remained the highest selling games of the week, moving an additional 277,676 retail copies.

Dragon Quest Treasures was the highest selling new release of the week, opening at 143,650 retail sales. It was followed by Witch on the Holy Night, which opened at 39,759 sales on Switch and 26,585 sales on PlayStation 4 for an opening week total of 66,344 retail sales.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 158,106 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 18,822 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 3,150 units, and the Xbox Series family sold 1,524 units. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles continue to face stock issues.
