Edia launches ‘Telenet Revive’ teaser website featuring artwork of Genesis shoot ’em up Gaiares
"Welcome to Shooters Heaven!"El Dia has launched a new teaser website at the URL telenet-revive.com, which features the woman and ship from the box art of the 1990 Genesis shoot ’em up Gaiares with the text “New Project begins. November 22, 2022.”
Here is the box art of the original Genesis release:
The teaser website URL is a reference to Telenet Japan, the now-defunct Japanese video game studio that developed Gaiares among titles such as the Valis series, Arcus series, Pop’n Magic, and more.
In 2020, Edia acquired the rights to Telenet Japan intellectual properties from City Connection, and has since released Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection and Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection II for Switch.
A Twitter account was also launched @telenetrevive. Its first tweet reads, “Welcome to Shooters Heaven! November 22, 2022 A new project begins. Please share and follow this account!”
