Famitsu Sales: 8/29/22 – 9/4/22 [Update]

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of August 29, 2022 to September 4, 2022.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R for Switch was the highest selling new release of the week, opening at 19,807 retail copies sold. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions did not chart in the top 10.

Also new this week, Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness opened at 12,542 units on Switch and 7,720 units on PlayStation 4 for a total of 20,262 retail copies sold.

Finally, The Last of Us Part I for PlayStation 5 also charted in the top 10 at 10,954 retail copies sold.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 98,168 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 20,292 units, the Xbox Series family sold 6,036 units, and the PlayStation 4 family sold 10 units. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles continue to face stock issues.
