Total sales for Earth Defense Force 6 have surpassed 300,000 units, D3 Publisher and developer Sandlot announced.
Earth Defense Force 6 launched for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on August 25 in Japan.
Having achieved this milestone within its first week of its release, Earth Defense Force 6 is also the fastest selling entry in series history.
According to Famitsu sales numbers, Earth Defense Force 6 sold 68,341 retail copies on PlayStation 4 and 24,363 copies on PlayStation 5 by August 28, meaning at least 92,704 copies were sold at retailers.
