Square Enix has released a new pair of Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Offline live-action web commercials starring actor Kento Kaku ahead of the game’s release next week in Japan.

In the first commercial, dubbed “The Club President’s Secret,” the Dragon Quest Club president (Kento Kaku) has a secret—he has yet to play Dragon Quest X Online. The exchange is as follows:
- Narrator: “The president of the Dragon Quest Club has a secret…”
- Club Member #1: “Have you played Dragon Quest X, president?”
- Club President: “Of course I have!”
- Club Member #2: “You haven’t played it because it’s online.”
- Club President: “What nonsense are you saying?”
- Club Member #3: “Alright then, what’s the final boss’ name?”
- Club President: “(Unintelligible mumble.)“
- Club Member #3: “See, you haven’t played it!”
- Club President: “Yes I have!”
- Club Member #4: “What’s the final boss’ name then?”
- Club President: “(Unintelligible mumble.)“
- Club Members #2, #3, and #4: “So you haven’t!”
- Club Member #1: “They’re coming out with an offline version.”
- Club President: “(Jumps up in excitement.) Yessss! Yes! Yes!”
