Cosmic Fantasy Collection launches December 15 in Japan
Cosmic Fantasy: Adventure Boy Yuu and Cosmic Fantasy 2: Adventure Boy Van bundled for Switch.
Cosmic Fantasy Collection, a bundle PC-Engine RPG Cosmic Fantasy: Adventure Boy Yuu and sequel Cosmic Fantasy 2: Adventure Boy Van, will launch for Switch on December 15 in Japan for 6,800 yen (7,480 yen with tax), publisher Edia announced. An English release is also planned, which will be announced separately.
A limited edition will also be available for 12,800 yen (14,080 yen with tax), which includes a copy of the collection, the original soundtrack, and an original booklet.
Originally developed by Nippon Telenet, Cosmic Fantasy: Adventure Boy Yuu first launched for PC-Engine on March 30, 1990 in Japan, while Cosmic Fantasy 2: Adventure Boy Van launched for TurboGrafX CD on April 5, 1991 in Japan and June 9, 1992 in North America. Cosmic Fantasy 2 is the only entry in the series to launch outside Japan. The RPG series was notable for its use of “visual scenes,” which used animation to express important moments in the story.
