New Mafia game in development, still “a few years away”

"We can't share anything more right now."

A new entry in the Mafia series is currently in development, Hangar 13 general manager Roman Hladik confirmed in a Mafia 20th anniversary developer interview.

“I’m happy to confirm we’ve started work on an all-new Mafia project!” Hladik said. “While it’s a few years away and we can’t share anything more right now, we’re really excited to keep working on this beloved franchise and to entertain our players with new stories.”

The latest entry in the series was Mafia: Definitive Edition, which launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on September 25, 2020. It is a full remake of the original Mafia first launched in 2002.
