MultiVersus tops 20 million players

Milestone achieved in less than a month from release.

Free-to-play platform fighting game MultiVersus has surpassed over 20 million players since the launch of its open beta on July 26, publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Play First Games announced.

The milestone was achieved in less than a month since its release.

Season 1 of the game’s regular new content releases began on August 15, with a new Battle Plass for players to earn in-game rewards. It will also bring new characters, modes, and other content to the game, including Morty Smith (Rick and Morty) on August 23, and Black Adam (DC), Stripe (Gremlins), Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty), and more in the coming months. Upcoming new modes include Classic Arcade and Ranked modes.

MultiVersus is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
