Star Ocean: The Divine Force launches October 27
New footage, screenshots, and more.Star Ocean: The Divine Force will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 27 worldwide, publisher Square Enix and developer tri-Ace announced.
In the west, the game will be available both physically and digitally across all consoles. A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available, which includes the game, digital soundtrack, and downloadable content such as an armor pack, accessory pack, and weapons pack.
In Japan, the game will cost 8,778 yen for the standard physical or digital edition. The physical edition will only be available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The Digital Deluxe Edition will cost 11,858 yen. A physical limited edition will also be available for 18,000 yen, which includes a copy of the game, art book, limited edition original soundtrack, two rubber key chains, and in-game downloadable content items.
Early purchases include a set of four pawns that can be used in the in-game mini-game “Es’owa.” The pawns are themed after Lenneth and Lezard Valeth from Valkyrie Profile, and Jack Russell and Ridley Silverlake from Radiata Stories.
Pre-orders for any digital edition will include an in-game item weapon pack for the protagonists, the “Greatsword” for Raymond, “Lionheart’s Blutgang,” and the “Dual Blades” for Laeticia, “Flashing Naglering.”
Square Enix also released new footage, information, and screenshots, introducing new characters Midas Felgreed (voiced by Keith Silverstein in English, Hiroki Touchi in Japanese), Nina Deforges (voiced by Suzie Yeung in English, Rie Takahashi in Japanese), and D.U.M.A. (voiced by Elizabeth Maxwell in English, Yuu Kobayashi in Japanese), as well as a look at the battle system (seamless battles, AP, link combos, stop mode, and party), dual protagonists Raymond and Laeticia, and new areas.
