Warriors Orochi 3 is a hack-and-slash action game that first launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on December 22, 2011, followed by PSP on July 19, 2012, and Wii U on November 18, 2012. Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, an updated and enhanced version of the game, first launched for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita on September 26, 2013, followed by PlayStation 4 on June 26, 2014, Xbox One on September 2, 2014, and Switch on November 9, 2017.

A sequel, Warriors Orochi 4, first launched for PlayStation 4 and Switch on September 27, 2018, followed by Xbox One and PC on October 16, 2018. The enhanced Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate first launched for PlayStation 4 and Switch on December 19, 2019, followed by Xbox One on February 14, 2020.
