Nippon Ichi Software has released new information and screenshots for void* tRrLM2(); //Void Terrarium 2, which introduces the sequel’s enhanced dungeon expeditions.
Get the details below.
■ Deeper Dungeon Exploration with Various New Features
Explore dungeons called “zones” to find the things you need to take care of Toriko.
Similar to the first game, zones are randomly-generated and change appearance each time you enter, so you will never experience the same adventure twice.
In zones, machines and creatures will attack the robot. Make use of your attacks and items to defeat them and make your way deeper into the dungeon.
Additionally, with various new elements added for the sequel, you can enjoy even deeper dungeon exploration.
—New enemies and dungeons block the robot’s path forward.
—Use flashy new skills.
—Things might even occur to make zone exploration easier for you…
■ The Basics of Dungeon Exploration
Never the Same Adventure
The ruins explored by the robot are randomly-generated dungeons that change appearance each time you enter. The robot will also trigger a series of “skill draws” with different outcomes each time, making each expedition a unique adventure.
—As you level up, you can acquire new skills. Level up your stats to create a robot unique to you.
—There are even some rare skills.
—A room full of enemies may appear…
Don’t Forget to Take Care of Toriko
You can take care of Toriko while on an expedition using the “Pet Nanny.”
The Pet Nanny will let you know if Toriko is feeling hungry or sick, as well as let you play with her and give her food while away.
—Since you can feed Toriko while on an expedition, you can take care of her from afar without returning to the base.
—Play with Toriko via the Pet Nanny! Let Toriko’s cuteness heal you while you explore!
—The Pet Nanny appears in the lower-left corner of the screen while on an expedition, allowing you to monitor Toriko’s health at all times!
Taking Care of Toriko Makes the Robot Stronger
You can get “Craft Bonuses” by using the materials brought back from expeditions and building furniture for the terrarium.
With Craft Bonuses, you can head out on an expedition with higher stats.
If you are having trouble clearing a dungeon, gather some materials and build up your terrarium.
—Even if you die while on an expedition, you can still return to the base with your collected materials. Get stronger through trial and error!
—If you have a recipe and the materials to make it, you can craft it at the base at any time.
—Crafting recipes can be found in dungeons.
■ Draw Out Your Weapons’ True Strength through Repeated Battle
Weapon Proficiency: The More You Fight, the Stronger You Become
The more you use a weapon, the higher your “Weapon Proficiency” will become, allowing the robot to draw out the true strength of that weapon.
The higher your Weapon Proficiency, the higher its stats and benefits of Passive Skill acquisition. Weapon Proficiency carries over to future expeditions, so the more you fight, the easier it will be to clear each dungeon.
—You can acquire a wide range of skills depending on the weapon. Finding the best weapons is the key to clearing each dungeon.
—With the “Drill,” you can acquire skills that hit the enemies around you. Master each weapon’s traits to clear your expeditions.
—If you reach a certain Weapon Proficiency level, its appearance might also change…
Strategize with Different Weapons
—Drill
Effective against one-hit-kill-type mechanical enemies that are easy to land a critical hit against.
—Fire
A specialized gun weapon that can fire and strike the enemy from a safe distance.
—Tentacles
Use the tentacles to pull in enemies, absorb their HP, and fight skillfully.
Power Up the Robot with New Skills
void tRrLM2(); //Void Terrarium 2 introduces new skills. Progress deeper on your expeditions with flashier skills than ever.
In addition to skills that deal damage to enemies, there are also skills such as “Portal,” which instantly transports you elsewhere, and “Diving,” which allows you to evade threats by diving underground. Utilize various skills according to the situation!
—“Divide”
Spring up and slash at the enemy with great force.
The slash attack damages a wide range of enemies both in front of and behind you, and the shockwave pushes back any enemies to the left and right.
—“Portal”
The first use creates a warp portal where you use it.
The second use instantly moves you to where the warp portal was created.
—“Diving”
The first use puts the robot in a dive state that allows it to move in the ground.
The second use allows the robot to spring up from underground, dealing damage to any enemy on the spot.
■ Choose Your Route and Create Your Own Adventure
During an expedition, you can select which dungeon you want to head to next. Tackle dungeons based on what you are good at, or choose a route based on Weather Blight.
—When you reach a certain level of a dungeon, it will branch into multiple routes. There are also dungeon effects such as “ATK UP” and “EXP UP.”
There are even hidden stages! Dungeons that rarely appear, too…!? If you happen to get lucky and find one, be sure to check it out!
—Hidden stages!
—Coins everywhere!? What is this, a casino!?
■ A Look at Some New Dungeons
New dungeons will also appear. Be on the lookout for recipes you can only find in certain dungeons!
—The cactus recipe can be found in the desert stage.
—Will candy-like furniture put Toriko in a sweet mood?
■ Weather Blight
The base and dungeons are affected by Weather Blight. When air pollution is high, Toriko is more vulnerable to illnesses, and in dungeons, the enemies you encounter may become more vicious and the performance of items may change.
Weather Blight can be checked from the dungeon selection screen, so be sure to check it when going on an expedition or taking care of Toriko.
—Contamination at the base seems to be high, and Toriko’s health may be in jeopardy, so get back to her as fast as you can.
—Weather Blight is displayed on the dungeon select screen.
■ New Dungeons and Enemies
New enemies will block the robot’s path forward, including armed machines and vicious creatures—some may even be a little cute.
—A pair of chickens and their chicks block your way forward. What will happen if you get rid of the chicks first…?
—A tough mechanical enemy that scatters missiles throughout the room.
—This snowman looks fancy, but a world of pain awaits for those who judge it by appearance alone…
■ Mysterious Rooms
Mysterious small rooms where various events occur will also appear. The contents of these rooms vary, from offering a treasure chest to getting a new Challenge and more.
—Take on Challenges to earn rewards.
By clearing the Challenge given in a mysterious room, you can earn fragments of contaminated crystals, which can be exchanged for items in the room. There is no penalty for not clearing the task, so be sure to give it a shot.
—You can check the contents of Challenges from the system menu and dungeon select screens.
—Weapons and recipes can be purchased using fragments of contaminated crystals.
