MultiVersus closed alpha test set for May 19 to 27
Available across all platforms with full cross-play and rollback netcode.Publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Player First Games will host a closed alpha test for free-to-play platform fighter MultiVersus from May 19 to 27, the companies announced. It will be playable across all platforms with full cross-play support and dedicated server-based rollback netcode enabled.
The invite-only test will allow players to experience the latest MultiVersus content, including the team-based two-versus-two mode and a variety of heroes and personalities, from Batman to Shaggy (Scooby-Doo), Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes), Arya Stark (Game of Thrones), and more. A new video was also released showcasing game director Tony Huynh and principal developer Daniel Kraft going head-to-head against professional fighting game community players Tyrell “NAKAT” Coleman and James “VoiD” Makekau-Tyson in a best of three series two-versus-two matches. It also showcases the “Scooby’s Haunted Mansion” map, which will be available during the closed alpha test.
MultiVersus is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in 2022.
