Kadokawa Games to divest part of its business to Dragami Games, a new company established by Yoshimi Yasuda
Yasuda to retire as Kadokawa Games president in June.
Kadokawa Games will divest part of its business to Dragami Games, a new company established through a corporate split by Kadokawa Games president and CEO Yoshimi Yasuda and company director Satoshi Fuyuno, the company announced.
Yasuda will retire from his position at Kadokawa Games, where he served for 14 years, at the general meeting of shareholders in June.
As a game creator, Yasuda has worked on a number of titles throughout his 14 years at Kadokawa Games, including Root Letter and God Wars: Future Past. In 2021, Kadokawa Games released the robot strategy RPG Relayer, which Yasuda produced, directed, and created.
At Dragami Games, Yasuda will continue to develop the titles Kadokawa Games is known for, including action games, strategy RPGs, love simulation games, and so on.
EXTREME, which owns the game brand Masaya Games, plans to acquire a stake in the newly formed Dragami Games.
Thanks, Famitsu.
